Max Flack Autograph

Max Flack was an American professional baseball player born in 1890, in Sigel, Illinois. Flack began his career in 1914, playing for the Chicago Cubs as an outfielder. He was considered one of the best right fielders of his time and was a vital asset to the Cubs' team, often leading in stolen bases and batting averages. In 1918, he was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals and then returned to the Cubs in 1922, where he remained until his retirement in 1929. Flack's playing style was characterized by his strong arm, exceptional speed, and innate ability to get on base. He often batted leadoff and was a consistent performer throughout his career. Flack's speed on the basepaths made him a formidable opponent and allowed him to steal 164 bases throughout his career. His on-base percentage was also impressive, with a career average of .348, and he maintained a .278 batting average throughout his time in the MLB.

After retiring from the MLB, Flack went on to a successful career in the insurance business. However, he remained connected to the sport he loved, attending games and coaching young players.
