Max Fried Autographs
Max Fried is an American professional baseball player who is a starting pitcher for the Atlanta Braves of the Major League Baseball (MLB). Born on January 18, 1994, in Santa Monica, California, Fried attended Harvard-Westlake School and played as a pitcher and shortstop. He was considered one of the best high school pitching prospects in the country, and he was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the first round of the 2012 MLB draft.
After signing with the Padres, Fried played in the minor leagues and rose through the ranks, but he ultimately underwent Tommy John surgery in 2014, which put him on the shelf for nearly two full years. In December 2014, Fried was traded to the Atlanta Braves as one of the four prospects in a deal that sent Justin Upton to the Padres. He made his MLB debut for the Braves on August 8, 2017, and subsequently had a successful 2018 and 2019 seasons, with a combined 17-11 record and a 4.22 ERA in 51 appearances, including 40 starts.
Fried continued his strong performance in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, posting a 7-0 record with a 2.25 ERA in 11 starts. He was named the National League Pitcher of the Month for September 2020, and he helped lead the Braves to the National League Championship Series. Fried is known for his pitching versatility, showcasing an impressive four-pitch repertoire that includes a fastball, curveball, slider, and changeup. Despite his young age, Fried is already considered one of the top pitchers in the league, and he is expected to be a cornerstone of the Braves' pitching staff for years to come.
