Miguel Dilone Autographs

Miguel Dilone was born on November 1, 1954, in the Dominican Republic, and grew up with a passion for baseball. He began his professional career in 1973 with the Kansas City Royals, but it wasn't until he joined the Oakland Athletics that he made his mark in the major leagues. Dilone quickly became known for his speed and base-stealing abilities, stealing a career-high 61 bases in his second season with the A's. He was also a skilled outfielder, known for his ability to track down and catch difficult fly balls.
Over his 12-year career in the major leagues, Dilone played for several different teams, including the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, and Detroit Tigers. His best season came in 1980, when he hit .341 with the Pirates and stole 56 bases. In total, he stole 289 bases over his career, putting him in the top 100 all-time in that category. Dilone was also known for his versatility, playing all three outfield positions as well as second base and shortstop throughout his career.
Off the field, Dilone remained active in baseball, coaching and mentoring younger players in his home country of the Dominican Republic. He also founded the Miguel Dilone Foundation, which provides scholarships for young baseball players in need. Dilone's speed and skill on the field made him a fan favorite throughout his career, and his dedication to the game and his community have made him a beloved figure in the world of baseball.
