Mike Easler Autographs
Mike Easler is a former American professional baseball player who spent his career as an outfielder and designated hitter. He was born on November 29, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a standout athlete in high school and went on to attend Lakeland Community College where he played baseball and basketball.
Easler was drafted by the Houston Astros in 1969 but did not make his major league debut until 1973 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He quickly established himself as a reliable hitter, batting over .300 in three consecutive seasons from 1977 to 1979. In 1980, he earned his first All-Star selection and helped lead the Pirates to a National League East title.
Easler went on to play for several other teams, including the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Philadelphia Phillies. He finished his career with a .293 batting average, 118 home runs, and 522 RBIs. After retiring as a player, he went on to serve as a hitting coach for several major league teams, including the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and Milwaukee Brewers. Despite a successful coaching career, Easler will always be remembered for his contributions on the field as a standout hitter and solid outfielder.
