Mike Flanagan Autographs
Mike Flanagan was an accomplished Major League Baseball (MLB) player, widely regarded for his 18-year career as a pitcher with the Baltimore Orioles. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, in 1951, Flanagan was a left-handed pitcher who began his career in 1975 with the Orioles. He quickly established himself as one of the team's most reliable pitchers, earning a reputation for his accuracy and consistency on the mound. Over the course of his career, Flanagan amassed an impressive record of 167-143, with an ERA of 3.90 and 1,491 strikeouts.
Flanagan's career was highlighted by a number of significant achievements, including winning the American League Cy Young Award in 1979. That same year, he also helped lead the Orioles to their most recent World Series championship. Flanagan remained with the Orioles until 1987, before being traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for his final two seasons. After retiring from baseball in 1992, Flanagan continued to stay involved in the sport, serving as a broadcaster for both the Orioles and the Blue Jays.
Off the field, Flanagan was known for his philanthropic work and dedication to community service. He was actively involved with the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation, serving as its president for several years, and also worked with a number of other organizations dedicated to helping disadvantaged youth. Sadly, Flanagan passed away in 2011, leaving behind a legacy as one of baseball's great left-handed pitchers and a respected member of the baseball community.
