Mike Krukow Autographs
Mike Krukow is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for a variety of teams during his 14-year career, including the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco Giants. Krukow was born on January 21st, 1952, in Long Beach, California. He attended San Gabriel High School, where he was a standout pitcher, and went on to play college baseball at Cal Poly Pomona.
Krukow was known for his strong pitching arm and his durability on the mound. He made his Major League debut with the Chicago Cubs in 1976 and quickly established himself as a reliable starter. In 1977, he recorded 17 wins and helped the Cubs reach the National League playoffs for the first time in over 30 years. Krukow was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in 1982, where he continued to have success, earning a spot on the National League All-Star team in 1983. He later joined the San Francisco Giants in 1983, where he spent the final seven years of his career.
After retiring from baseball in 1989, Krukow transitioned to a career in broadcasting. He's been an analyst for San Francisco Giants games since 1990 and is known for his engaging personality, deep knowledge of the game, and his signature catchphrases. Krukow has received numerous awards for his broadcasting work, including seven Emmy Awards, and is considered one of the best analysts in the game. He's also been active in charitable work, starting the Krukow Family Foundation to help find a cure for rare diseases.
