Moore made his MLB debut with the Mariners in April 1982 and quickly established himself as one of the team's best pitchers. He had a successful career with the Mariners, pitching a no-hitter on June 30, 1984, and earning the team's Pitcher of the Year award for three consecutive seasons from 1986 to 1988. In 1989, he was traded to the Oakland Athletics, where he had his best season, winning 19 games and helping the team reach the World Series. He also played for the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants before retiring in 1995 with a career record of 161-176.

Overall, Mike Moore had a solid career as a MLB pitcher, known for his durability and consistent performance on the mound. He was known for his fastball and curveball, as well as his competitive spirit and work ethic. After retiring from baseball, Moore worked as an assistant baseball coach at Oral Roberts University and was inducted into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
