Mike Stanley Autographs
Mike Stanley, born in 1963 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, had a successful career as a professional baseball player. He played as a catcher and designated hitter for several teams in the Major League Baseball (MLB) such as the Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, and Oakland Athletics. After graduating from high school, Stanley attended Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida, and then transferred to Florida State University. While at Florida State, he played for the Seminoles baseball team and was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 1985 Major League Baseball draft.
\nAfter signing with the Rangers, Stanley began his professional baseball career in the minor leagues, and eventually made his MLB debut in 1986. In 1989, he was traded to the New York Yankees where he played for four seasons. During his time with the Yankees, he had his most successful years, setting career-highs in batting average, home runs, and RBIs. In 1996, he joined the Boston Red Sox and played there for four seasons. In 2000, he signed with the Oakland Athletics, which would be his final team before retiring in 2001. Stanley's career statistics include 1,375 hits, 187 home runs, and a .270 batting average in 1,567 games played.
\nThroughout his baseball career, Mike Stanley was known for his power hitting and solid defense behind the plate. He was selected to the All-Star team twice, and was a key player for several playoff teams. After his retirement, Stanley worked as a baseball coach, including in the Florida Marlins organization. He also founded a baseball academy in Florida to help develop young players. Stanley's contributions to the MLB have been significant, both on the field and in his continued work in coaching and player development.
