Milt Wilcox played professional baseball for 13 seasons, from 1970 to 1986. He was born on April 20, 1950, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and attended high school in California. He was drafted in the second round by the Cincinnati Reds in 1968 and made his major league debut in 1970. Wilcox played for the Reds until 1977, then spent one season with the Chicago Cubs before being traded to the Detroit Tigers in 1978. More about Milt Wilcox

Wilcox had his best season in 1984, when he went 17-8 with a 4.00 ERA and helped the Tigers win the World Series. He started three games in the postseason, winning two and losing one. In his career, he had a record of 119-113 with a 4.07 ERA. He also pitched for the Seattle Mariners and the Pittsburgh Pirates before retiring in 1986 at the age of 36.

After his playing days were over, Wilcox became a sports broadcaster, working for the Tigers as a color commentator and analyst. He also worked for ESPN and Fox Sports Detroit. In addition, he has been involved in youth sports programs and charity work in his home state of Hawaii. He was inducted into the Hawaii Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.
