Oscar Azocar Autographs

Oscar Azocar was a Venezuelan professional baseball player who was a right fielder and played for the New York Yankees and San Diego Padres. Born on February 21, 1965, in Caracas, Venezuela, Azocar grew up playing baseball and was eventually signed as an amateur free agent with the Yankees in 1985. Azocar was known for his strong arm and power hitting abilities, and he quickly rose through the minor league ranks.
In 1990, Azocar made his major league debut for the Yankees, appearing in 74 games and batting .240 with three home runs and 17 RBI. Despite his promising start, Azocar struggled to establish himself as a regular starter for the Yankees, and he was eventually traded to the San Diego Padres in 1992. While he showed flashes of his potential with the Padres, injuries limited his playing time, and he retired from professional baseball in 1996 with a career batting average of .226.
Off the field, Azocar has remained involved in baseball, coaching and mentoring young players. He has also worked as a broadcaster and commentator for Venezuelan baseball games. Despite his relatively short career in the major leagues, Azocar remains a beloved figure in the world of baseball, remembered for his powerful hitting and strong arm in the outfield.
