Paul Lo Duca was born on April 12, 1972, in Brooklyn, New York. He was a talented high school athlete and earned a scholarship to play baseball at Arizona State University. Lo Duca was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 25th round of the 1993 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut in April 1998, and quickly established himself as a valuable player.
