Peter Angelos Autographs
Peter Angelos was born on July 4, 1929, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He was a successful lawyer, a philanthropist, and a businessman who was widely known for his involvement in Major League Baseball. Angelos was the owner of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team from 1993 until 2019. Under his leadership, the Orioles made the playoffs six times and went to the American League Championship Series twice. Angelos was also known for his commitment to bringing the All-Star Game to Baltimore in 1993 and made significant contributions to the community by donating millions of dollars to various charitable organizations.
Angelos' love for baseball began at a young age. As a student of Loyola University, he played college baseball and signed with the Baltimore Orioles as an amateur free agent in 1954. However, Angelos' baseball career was short-lived, as he was assigned to the Bluefield Orioles in the Appalachian League, where he struggled to adjust to the professional level. After a brief stint in the minors, Angelos decided to focus on his law career, but his passion for the sport never diminished.
