Philip Humber Autographs
Philip Humber is a retired American professional baseball pitcher who was born on December 21, 1982. He attended Carthage High School in Texas before being selected by the New York Mets as the third overall pick in the 2004 Major League Baseball draft. Humber had an illustrious college career where he earned the distinction of being the 2003 National College Baseball Player of the Year. He was also part of the gold medal-winning United States team at the 2003 Pan American Games.
Humber’s professional baseball career spanned over ten years, during which time he played for several teams, including the New York Mets, Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox, and Houston Astros. In the game of baseball, Humber is perhaps best known for pitching a perfect game. On April 21, 2012, he achieved this milestone achievement when he threw a perfect game for the Chicago White Sox in a game against the Seattle Mariners. This notable achievement cemented Humber's place in baseball history and earned him a place in the record books.
During his career, Humber had an impressive 16-23 record and a 5.31 ERA in 97 starts and 204 games. He was known for his excellent control and ability to work efficiently on the mound.
