Ralph Terry was born on January 9, 1936, in Big Cabin, Oklahoma. He had a promising career in baseball, making his debut for the New York Yankees on August 12, 1956. Terry played for the Yankees from 1956 to 1962 before being traded to the Kansas City Athletics in 1963. He spent three seasons with the Athletics before being traded back to the Yankees in 1965.
