Ray King Autographs
Ray King is a former professional baseball player who played as a left-handed relief pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) for over a decade. He was born on January 15, 1974, in Lamberton, Minnesota, and grew up in the small town of Milroy. King attended Milroy High School, where he played baseball and basketball, and then went on to play college baseball at the University of Minnesota.
In 1995, Ray King was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the eighth round of the MLB draft. He made his major league debut with the Pirates in 1999 and pitched for the team until 2002. King then played for several other MLB teams, including the Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals, Colorado Rockies, and Washington Nationals. During his career, he was known for his exceptional sinker ball, which allowed him to induce ground balls and get double plays.
Ray King retired from professional baseball in 2010 after playing 11 seasons in the major leagues. He finished his career with a record of 24-23 and an ERA of 3.28. King was one of the most effective left-handed relief pitchers in the league during his career, and he played a key role in helping his teams reach the playoffs and even win the World Series. He currently resides in Milroy, Minnesota, where he coaches youth baseball and is involved in the community.
