Reggie Cleveland is a former professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball from 1969 to 1981. Born on May 23, 1948, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada, Cleveland became one of the most talented pitchers of his generation. He began his career with St. Louis Cardinals before being traded to Boston Red Sox where he spent the bulk of his career. Cleveland’s career best season came in 1977 when he posted a career-high 20 wins for the Boston Red Sox. However, his most significant performance that year came in the playoffs against the New York Yankees. He pitched six complete innings, allowing only two hits and striking out five batters.
