Rex Chapman Autographs
Rex Chapman is a former American professional basketball player. Born on October 5, 1967, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, he started playing basketball at an early age. Chapman graduated from Apollo High School, where he led the Eagles to a state championship in 1986. He then attended the University of Kentucky, where he played for the Wildcats from 1986-1988. During his college career, Chapman averaged 16.8 points per game and helped lead the Wildcats to the Final Four in 1988.
After two seasons at Kentucky, Chapman was selected with the eighth overall pick in the 1988 NBA draft by the Charlotte Hornets. He played for the Hornets for three seasons, where he was known for his electrifying dunks and long-range shooting. Chapman then played for the Washington Bullets, Miami Heat, and Phoenix Suns before retiring from the NBA in 2000. During his NBA career, Chapman averaged 14.6 points per game, 2.6 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game. He was an excellent three-point shooter, finishing his career with a 35.3% three-point field goal percentage.
Off the court, Chapman has been involved in various philanthropic causes, including working with the National Down Syndrome Society and launching the Rex Chapman Foundation, which raises money for underprivileged children. His basketball career has been an inspiration to many, and his contributions to the sport have been recognized through his induction into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame. Chapman's excellence on and off the court has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
