Rich Amaral is a former American professional baseball player who played as a second baseman and outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on April 1, 1962, in Visalia, California, and attended the California State University Fullerton. He was first drafted in the 3rd round of the 1983 MLB draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates but opted not to sign. After his playing career, Amaral became a coach and worked for the Los Angeles Angels, Seattle Mariners, and San Diego Padres. He also served as a broadcast analyst for Mariners games.
