Rob Deer Autographs
Rob Deer is a former professional baseball player born on September 29, 1960, in Orangevale, California. Despite being slowed by injuries during his career, Rob was known for his powerful swing and towering home runs. He started his Major League Baseball (MLB) career in 1984 with the San Francisco Giants before moving to Milwaukee to join the Brewers the following year. He played for several teams during his 11-year career, including the Tigers, Red Sox, Padres, and Giants. However, Deer is best remembered for his five seasons with the Brewers, where he proved himself an integral part of the team, playing in 775 games and finishing with a .230 batting average.
During his baseball career, Rob Deer acquired a reputation as a slugger, recording 230 home runs and 582 RBIs in 1,230 games played. In 1987, he hit a career-high 33 home runs and led the American League with 186 strikeouts. He remains one of the few players in MLB history to have hit a ball out of Tiger Stadium in Detroit. Despite frequently striking out, Rob compensated by drawing a high number of walks, making him one of the most valuable hitters around. His power and his keen eye at the plate made him a fan favorite.
In addition to his career in professional baseball, Rob Deer has also mentored young ball players and worked as an instructor in his own camps. He has been invited multiple times to Milwaukee Brewers fantasy camps for adult amateur players. Rob is also involved in local charitable organizations in San Diego, including charity golf tournaments raising funds for cancer research. His career is admirable, and his legacy is one that will be remembered by baseball fans for many years.
