Robbie Grossman Autographs
Robbie Grossman is an American professional baseball outfielder. He was born in San Diego, California on September 16, 1989. Grossman first gained attention during his time at Cy-Fair High School in Texas. He was named Gatorade Texas Baseball Player of the Year in 2008, and also played for the United States national baseball team in the World Junior Baseball Championship that same year.
Grossman was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the sixth round of the 2008 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft. He progressed steadily through the Pirates' minor league system, and made his MLB debut with the team on April 24, 2013. However, he struggled in his limited playing time, hitting just .143 in 24 games before being designated for assignment in June. The Houston Astros claimed Grossman off waivers, and he became a regular player for the team by the end of the 2013 season.
Since joining the Astros, Grossman has bounced between the majors and the minors. He has also played for the Minnesota Twins and the Oakland Athletics. Grossman has shown himself to be a versatile player, adept at all three outfield positions, and he has steadily improved his overall performance. In 2021, he signed a one-year contract with the Detroit Tigers, and is expected to contribute to the team's rebuilding efforts. Grossman is known for his disciplined plate approach and high on-base percentage, and he continues to be an important role player in the MLB.
