Osuna made his MLB debut on April 8, 2015, at the age of 20 years with the Toronto Blue Jays. He quickly became a star reliever, saving 20 games in his rookie season and was named the American League Rookie of the Month in June 2015. Osuna continued to improve and helped lead the Blue Jays to the postseason in 2015 and 2016. In the 2016 season, he was named to the All-Star Game for the first time in his career. In 2018, he was traded to Houston Astros and helped lead the team to the American League Championship Series that same year.

However, in 2019, before the start of the MLB season, Osuna was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was suspended for 75 games by MLB but returned to the Astros in August of that year after serving his suspension. Osuna has since continued his successful baseball career, earning 12 saves during the 2020 MLB season. Despite the controversy surrounding his domestic violence charges, Osuna has proven that he has the talent and tenacity to be a top player in the league.
