Robinson Chirinos is a professional baseball player who currently plays as a catcher for the New York Yankees in Major League Baseball (MLB). Born on June 5, 1984, in Punto Fijo, Venezuela, Chirinos began his professional career in 2001 as a shortstop with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He converted to a catcher and played in their minor league system until he was traded to the Chicago Cubs in 2010.
