Roger Erickson

Roger Erickson was an American baseball pitcher who played in the Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1978 to 1983. Born on February 20, 1956, in Appleton, Minnesota, Erickson was a standout player in high school and was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the second round of the 1974 Major League Baseball draft. Erickson made his MLB debut on September 9, 1978, for the Twins and went on to play for the New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, and Atlanta Braves before retiring in 1983. More about Roger Erickson

Erickson's best season was in 1982, when he played for the Texas Rangers. He had a record of 14-13 with a 3.96 ERA and pitched two complete games. Erickson also had a good season in 1980 while playing for the Twins, with a record of 11-7 and a 3.84 ERA. However, injuries plagued Erickson's career, and he was forced to retire at the age of 27.
