Ron Coomer is a retired American professional baseball player who played as a first baseman and third baseman in Major League Baseball. He was born on November 18, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Taft High School before moving on to Taft College in California. Coomer made his major league debut in 1995 with the Minnesota Twins and played for them until 2000. He hit 16 home runs in that span and had a batting average of .279. After his time with the Twins, he played for a few different baseball teams, including the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Chicago Cubs, where he finished his career. Overall, Coomer had a batting average of .274, scored 474 runs, and hit 97 home runs in his career.

In addition to his baseball career, Coomer went on to become a radio broadcaster for the Chicago Cubs in 2014. He currently co-hosts a radio show on 670 AM The Score and does color commentary on WGN-TV's Cubs games during the baseball season.
