Ronald Ray Fairly was born on July 12, 1938, in Macon, Georgia. He was a professional baseball player who played as an outfielder and first baseman in the Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1958 to 1978. Fairly started his baseball career playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he played from 1958 to 1969. Fairly is primarily known for his time with the Dodgers. He was part of the team that won the World Series in both 1959 and 1965. He was a reliable hitter with a .266 batting average and had 215 home runs throughout his career. He was also selected for the All-Star team in 1973 while playing for the Expos. Fairly was known for his versatility, switching between first base and outfield positions.
