Ryan Doumit Autographs
Ryan Doumit was born on April 3, 1981, in Moses Lake, Washington. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1999, where he started playing baseball. He went on to attend Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Arizona and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the second round of the 1999 MLB Draft.
Doumit spent most of his career as a catcher for the Pirates, playing with the team from 2005 to 2011. He was known for his solid offensive performance, hitting .271 with 104 home runs and 375 RBIs in 764 career games with Pittsburgh. In 2008, he had his best season, hitting .318 with 15 home runs and 69 RBIs in 116 games.
After his time with the Pirates, Doumit played for the Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, and Baltimore Orioles before retiring in 2014. Overall, he finished his career with a .264 batting average, 104 home runs, and 436 RBIs. Despite being plagued by injuries throughout his career, Doumit was able to make a significant impact on the field and was known for his versatility, having played first base, outfield, and catcher during his career.
