Horn's most notable performance came on April 29, 1987, when he hit two home runs during his Major League debut against the New York Yankees. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound slugger would go on to hit a total of six home runs in his first seven career games, setting a record that still stands to this day. However, despite his impressive start, Horn's career was plagued by inconsistency and injuries, which limited his playing time and led to his eventual retirement in 2001.

Despite his relatively short career, Sam Horn's contributions to the world of baseball are undeniable. He finished his career with a .240 batting average, 62 home runs, and 197 RBIs in 387 games played. His raw power and impressive start to his career have solidified his place in baseball history and serve as a testament to his undeniable talent and dedication to the game.
