Scott Bailes Autographs
Scott Bailes is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for five different teams during his career. He was born on December 18, 1962, in Chillicothe, Ohio. Bailes is best known for his time with the Cleveland Indians, where he spent six seasons and became one of the team's top relievers.
Bailes began his professional baseball career in 1986 when he was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 7th round of the MLB draft. He made his debut with the team in 1986 and played his first full season in 1988. Bailes was primarily used as a relief pitcher and became the team's closer in 1990. He recorded 16 saves that year and was a key part of the team's bullpen.
After leaving the Indians in 1993, Bailes played for four more teams over the next six years, including the California Angels, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, and Boston Red Sox. He retired from baseball in 1998 with a career record of 38-47 and an ERA of 4.95. Although he never made an All-Star team, Bailes had a solid career and is remembered as one of the better relievers of his era.
