Brosius played five seasons with the Yankees and was a key member of three championship teams. He was known for his clutch hitting, particularly in the postseason, where he hit .314 with 10 home runs and 30 RBIs in 38 games. Brosius retired from baseball after the 2001 season with a career batting average of .257, 141 home runs, and 531 RBIs. After his playing career, Brosius became a coach, serving as the manager of the Yankees' Class-A affiliate, the Staten Island Yankees, from 2007 to 2009.
