Scott Fletcher is a former Major League Baseball player who played for several teams over his 15-year career. Born on July 30, 1958, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Fletcher began his baseball career playing for the Georgia Bulldogs in college. Fletcher played primarily as a second baseman during his career, but he also spent time at shortstop and third base. He was known for his versatility, solid defense, and his ability to get on base. In addition to playing for the Cubs, Fletcher also played for the Houston Astros, the Texas Rangers, the Milwaukee Brewers, the Boston Red Sox, and the Detroit Tigers.
