Born on June 17, 1999, in Cypress, Texas, Shane Baz attended Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball, Texas, where he honed his skills as a baseball player. As a senior in high school, Shane recorded an ERA of 0.93 and recorded 113 strikeouts in 60 innings pitched.
