Taylor Teagarden was born on December 21, 1983, in Dallas, Texas, United States. Teagarden had a decorated college career at the University of Texas before being drafted by the Texas Rangers in the third round of the 2005 MLB draft. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut on August 8, 2008, for the Rangers, where he played for three seasons. In addition to the Texas Rangers, Teagarden had stints with the Baltimore Orioles, New York Mets, and Chicago Cubs throughout his professional career. He played in 163 MLB games, with a batting average of .202, hitting 13 home runs, and having 43 runs batted in. While playing in the minor leagues, Teagarden was a part of several championship teams, including winning the Texas League championship twice as a member of the Frisco RoughRiders. However, his MLB career was often hampered by injuries, resulting in minimal playing time toward the end of his career.

After retiring from baseball in 2017, Taylor Teagarden started a career as a coach, where he currently serves as the field coordinator for the Texas Rangers. Teagarden has also given back to the community by participating in charity work, including hosting baseball camps for children and working with organizations that support children with special needs.
