Wallach's career began in 1979, when he was drafted by the Montreal Expos. He quickly became a fan favorite for his outstanding play on the field. Wallach played with the Expos from 1979 to 1992, becoming the franchise's all-time leader in games played, at-bats, hits, and doubles. During his career, he was selected to appear in five All-Star Games and won three Gold Gloves. After his career with the Expos, Wallach played for the Dodgers for four seasons before finishing his career with the Angels in 1996.
