Tom Gorman is a former American professional baseball player who was born on May 20, 1930, in Staten Island, New York. He played as a relief pitcher in Major League Baseball for a total of ten seasons, from 1952 to 1962. Gorman began his career with the New York Yankees in 1952, and he went on to play for four different teams throughout his career, including the Kansas City Athletics, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Detroit Tigers. Throughout his career, Tom Gorman achieved some impressive feats on the baseball field. He was particularly successful during his time with the Baltimore Orioles, where he played for three seasons from 1959 to 1961. In 1960, he recorded 15 saves and posted a 2.87 ERA, helping the Orioles to a second-place finish in the American League. The following season, Gorman had another excellent year, recording 13 saves and a 2.75 ERA.
