Travis Shaw was born on April 16, 1990, in Washington Court House, Ohio. Shaw developed a passion for baseball at an early age, which was heavily influenced by his father. Having been scouted by the Red Sox for a while, he finally signed with them in 2011, as an amateur free agent. His dedication and hard work paid off when he made his debut for the Red Sox in May 2015. Shaw's tenure with the Red Sox afforded him the opportunity to hone his skills on the field. During his time in Boston, he batted .248 with 29 homers and 88 RBIs, allowing him to establish himself as a capable player. In December 2016, Shaw was traded to the Brewers, where he had his best season yet. Travis batted .273 with 31 home runs, giving him his first-ever thirty homer season as he helped lead the Brewers to the playoffs.
