Turner Ward Autographs
Turner Ward was a professional baseball player who played for seven different teams during his career. Born on December 11, 1965 in Orlando, Florida, he was drafted in the 18th round of the 1986 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees. He played in the minor leagues for several years before being called up to the majors in 1990 with the Cleveland Indians.
During his time in the majors, Ward played multiple positions including outfield, catcher, and first base. However, he was known primarily for his skills as a pinch hitter, and was often used in that role. He played for teams such as the Toronto Blue Jays, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Arizona Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies, and Atlanta Braves, and was a part of the Diamondbacks' 2001 World Series championship team. In total, he spent 11 seasons in the majors, and had a career batting average of .251 with 83 home runs and 374 RBIs.
After retiring from playing, Ward got into coaching and held various positions in the minor leagues before joining the Los Angeles Dodgers as their hitting coach in 2016. He helped the team reach the World Series in both 2017 and 2018, and in 2019 he joined the Cincinnati Reds as their hitting coach. Throughout his career, Ward was known for his hard work and determination, and his ability to help players improve their hitting.
