Tyler Glasnow, born on August 23, 1993, in Newhall, California, is a professional baseball player. He grew up playing baseball and was drafted straight out of high school by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the fifth round of the 2011 MLB draft. At 6'8" tall, Glasnow was noticed for his height and he quickly developed a reputation as a promising player. Glasnow joined the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2016, making his major league debut on July 7. In his first full season, he faced some challenges but also managed to get some impressive results. He finished 2017 with 34 appearances, 13 of them as a starter, and an ERA of 7.69. But he also managed to strike out 111 batters in just 85 innings, showing just how much promise he has.
