Vidal Nuno is a former professional baseball player who played as a pitcher from 2013 to 2021. He was born on July 26, 1987, in National City, California, and attended Sweetwater High School, where he played baseball and basketball. After high school, he attended Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, where he played college baseball for the Baker Wildcats.
After college, Nuno was signed by the Cleveland Indians as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played in the minor leagues for five years before making his major league debut in 2013 with the New York Yankees. He pitched for the Yankees for one season before being traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks, where he played for two seasons. He also played for the Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays, and Detroit Tigers during his career.
During his career, Nuno had a record of 7-22, an ERA of 4.05, and 268 strikeouts in 370 innings pitched. He appeared in 155 games and started in 42 of them. He retired from professional baseball in 2021 after playing for ten seasons. While his statistics may not be remarkable, Nuno's dedication and passion for the game of baseball have inspired many young players who dream of becoming professional baseball players.
