Wayne Granger Autographs
Wayne Granger is a former professional baseball player who played in the Major League Baseball League from 1968 to 1976. He was a talented right-handed relief pitcher who played for several teams like the Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals, Minnesota Twins, and the New York Mets. Granger's early baseball career began in college when he played baseball in Morehead State. He showcased his talent as a pitcher, which got him picked by the Cincinnati Reds in 1966.
Granger's most successful years came in 1969 and 1970 when he played for the Reds. In 1969, he became the National League Fireman of the Year, an award given to the best relief pitcher. Granger played a crucial role in helping the Cincinnati Reds to win the National League Championship. He had an excellent season, making a personal record of 35 saves, a career-high for him. Granger's career as a professional baseball player ended in 1976 after playing with various teams, accumulating a total of 68 saves, and an ERA of 3.23.
After retiring from professional baseball, Granger ventured into business, managing a sporting goods store in Kentucky. He remains a beloved figure in Cincinnati Reds history as the team has inducted him into their Hall of Fame in 1982. Granger's contributions to the team and the sport of baseball will forever be remembered as he continues to inspire young and upcoming baseball players in the USA.
