Wes Parker is a retired professional baseball player, who is widely regarded as one of the best first basemen of his time. He was born on November 13, 1939, in Evanston, Illinois, and began playing baseball at a young age. Parker spent his entire career with the Dodgers, appearing in 1,288 games from 1964 to 1972. He was primarily known for his excellent defensive skills at first base and was considered one of the best defensive first basemen of his era. Parker won six consecutive Gold Glove Awards from 1967 to 1972 and was named to the All-Star team in 1970.
