Wesley Eugene Stock, commonly known as Wes Stock, was a former professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball for 11 seasons. He was born on February 28, 1934, in Longview, Texas. Stock played with six different teams during his career, including the Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Athletics, Los Angeles Angels, Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, and Houston Astros. Stock was known for his durability on the mound, often pitching in relief and sometimes as a closer. His peak seasons were with the Angels, where he had an ERA of 2.56 in 1963 and an ERA of 2.24 in 1966. Stock's earned run average (ERA) was 3.48 in 416 career games pitched, with 84 games finished and 44 saves. He had a 57-50 win-loss record and threw 951 innings with 576 strikeouts. In 1963, Stock helped lead the Angels to their first-ever winning season, finishing the year with an 86-76 record.

Stock retired from baseball after the 1968 season, and he went on to own and operate several businesses in Oklahoma, where he resided. His baseball legacy lives on as he was inducted into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. Wes Stock passed away on January 12, 2019, at the age of 84.
