Will Rhymes is a former American baseball player best known for playing as a second baseman for the Detroit Tigers in the Major League Baseball (MLB). Rhymes was born on April 1, 1983, in Houston, Texas, and grew up with a passion for baseball. He attended the William B. Travis High School in Richmond, Texas, where he played for the school's baseball team. Rhymes went on to study at Louisiana State University before being picked by the Tigers in the 27th round of the 2005 MLB draft.
Rhymes started his professional baseball career in the minor leagues in 2005, where he played for the West Michigan Whitecaps. He had a successful season and advanced to the Class A-Advanced Lakeland Tigers in 2006. He continued to impress with his performance, and in 2010, he made his MLB debut with the Detroit Tigers. Rhymes played as a second baseman and joined the team during the middle of the season. In his 54 games, he had a batting average of .304 and an on-base percentage of .350.
Rhymes spent a few more seasons playing in the minor leagues and playing briefly with the Tampa Bay Rays before retiring from baseball in 2014. He played a total of 130 games in the MLB and finished his career with a batting average of .266. Throughout his baseball career, Rhymes was known for his hard work, dedication, and love for the game. He was an inspiration to many young baseball players and left a lasting legacy in the sport.
