Woody Williams is a former American baseball player who played as a pitcher during his ten-year MLB career. He was born on August 19, 1966, in Houston, Texas. Williams attended Cypress Creek High School in Houston and played college baseball at the University of Houston. Williams began his professional baseball career when he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 1990. Williams played for various teams during his career, including the Houston Astros, San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals, and Cincinnati Reds. Williams was named the National League Pitcher of the Month in June 2003, while playing for the Cardinals.
