Woody Williams is a former American baseball player who played as a pitcher during his ten-year MLB career. He was born on August 19, 1966, in Houston, Texas. Williams attended Cypress Creek High School in Houston and played college baseball at the University of Houston. Williams began his professional baseball career when he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 1990. Williams played for various teams during his career, including the Houston Astros, San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals, and Cincinnati Reds. Williams was named the National League Pitcher of the Month in June 2003, while playing for the Cardinals. He was also part of the Cardinals' team that won the National League Championship in 2004, leading them to the World Series.

Throughout his career, Woody Williams posted a record of 132-116, with an ERA of 4.19, and 1,522 strikeouts. Williams was an efficient and reliable pitcher who made significant contributions to the teams he played for. His record and stats may not match those of some of the most outstanding pitchers in MLB history, but he certainly made a mark on the game and earned respect from his peers and fans.
