Born on July 19, 1978, in Caracas, Venezuela, Yorvit Torrealba is a retired Venezuelan professional baseball player who played as a catcher in Major League Baseball. He began his professional career in 1995 as an undrafted free agent signed by the San Francisco Giants. After spending six years in the Giants organization, Torrealba made his Major League debut in 2001. He later played for several teams, including the Seattle Mariners, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays, and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Torrealba's career highlights include being a key player in the Colorado Rockies' 2007 World Series run, where they reached the World Series but lost to the Boston Red Sox.
