Zach Britton Autographs
Zach Britton is a professional baseball pitcher who played for the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees. He was born on December 22, 1987, in Panorama City, California. Britton attended high school at Weatherford High School in Texas, where he played baseball and football. After graduation, he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the third round of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft.
Britton made his Major League debut for the Orioles in 2011, where he quickly established himself as one of the team's best pitchers. He was named to the American League All-Star team in 2015 and 2016, and he won the American League Reliever of the Year Award in 2016. Britton is known for his excellent sinker, which has a lot of downward movement, making it difficult for hitters to make solid contact.
In 2018, Britton was traded to the New York Yankees, where he joined a stacked bullpen that included Aroldis Chapman and Dellin Betances. While he struggled with injuries during his time in New York, Britton still remained a solid contributor to the team. In total, he has pitched over ten seasons in the major leagues, amassing over 500 strikeouts and a career ERA of 3.20.
