Aaron McKie Autographs
Aaron McKie is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He was born on October 2, 1972, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he grew up and attended the Simon Gratz High School. During his time in high school, Aaron was a star player who helped his team win the Pennsylvania State Championship twice. His success continued during college, when he played for Temple University, where he was one of the best players in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
After college, Aaron McKie was picked by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 1994 NBA Draft, where he played for one year before he was traded to the Detroit Pistons. He then played for the Philadelphia 76ers, who he played five years before he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2005. Aaron's best season as a professional basketball player came in the 2000-2001 season when he was awarded the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award for his outstanding performances as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.
After retiring from playing professional basketball, Aaron McKie went into coaching and became an assistant coach at Temple University, where he has spent the last few years. In 2019, he was appointed to become the head coach of the Temple Owls men's basketball team, which was a position he had long desired. Over the years, Aaron has been celebrated as one of the most outstanding basketball players to come out of Philadelphia, with accolades such as "Philadelphia's favorite son" and recipient of the "John Wanamaker Athletic Award".
