Ace Bailey Autographs
Ace Bailey was a Canadian professional hockey player born on July 3, 1903, in Bracebridge, Ontario. He started his career with the Toronto St. Patricks in 1926, playing as a forward. Bailey quickly became a fan favorite due to his impressive speed and scoring ability. He played with the team for six seasons, scoring 81 goals and 49 assists in 313 games.
In 1933, Bailey was traded to the Boston Bruins, where he played for four seasons. Bailey's best season with the Bruins was in his first year; he scored 22 goals and 10 assists in 48 games. He played a significant role in helping the Bruins win their first Stanley Cup in 1939. He retired from playing professional hockey in 1942, after playing in the NHL for 12 seasons. During his career, he scored 111 goals and made 81 assists in 313 career games.
Bailey's post-playing career included coaching roles, and he later became the Director of Player Personnel for the Los Angeles Kings. However, his life would take a significant turn on September 11, 2001, when he died during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. In his honor, the NHL created the Ace Bailey Award in 2002, given annually to recognize outstanding off-ice team employees. Bailey's legacy as a talented and influential hockey player endures, both on the ice and through his contributions to the sport off the ice.
