Admiral Schofield is an American basketball player who played professionally for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on March 30, 1997, in Zion, Illinois, the 6'5" shooting guard/small forward played college basketball for the University of Tennessee Volunteers, where he became a two-time All-SEC selection. His impressive performances during his college career caught the attention of the NBA scouts, who eventually drafted him.
Schofield began his professional career in 2019, when he was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers as the 40th overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft. However, he was immediately traded to the Washington Wizards, where he played for two seasons, improving his game and earning him good reviews from fans and analysts. During his two-season spell with the Wizards, he made 33 appearances and averaged 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.
Admiral Schofield is known for his physicality, athleticism, and three-point shooting ability, which made him stand out during his college days and his short time in the NBA. He was part of the University of Tennessee's team that advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA tournament in 2018, where he recorded a combined 43 points and 17 rebounds against Wright State and Loyola-Chicago.
