Allan Houston Autographs

Allan HoustonAllan Houston is a former professional basketball player and current front office executive for the New York Knicks of the NBA. Born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1971, Houston attended the University of Tennessee where he played basketball from 1989 to 1993. While in college, Houston was named a consensus second-team All-American in his senior year and scored a career total of 2967 points, making him the second highest scorer in the history of Tennessee basketball.
Houston was selected 11th overall in the 1993 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons. He played for the Pistons until 1996 when he was traded to the Knicks in exchange for John Starks and Terry Mills. Houston quickly became a key player for the Knicks, averaging 20 points per game in his first season with the team. However, his most memorable moment came during the 1999 playoffs when he made a buzzer-beating shot in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals against the Miami Heat, which became known as the "New York Miracle." Houston continued to play for the Knicks until 2005 when he retired due to injury.
Since retiring from playing, Houston has remained active in basketball. He has held several front office positions, including assistant general manager for the Knicks, and was appointed as the general manager of the Westchester Knicks, the Knicks' NBA G League affiliate. Additionally, he has worked as a NBA analyst for ESPN and has been involved in various charitable organizations, including the Allan Houston Legacy Foundation, which aims to help youth and their families become confident, successful, and responsible citizens through athletics, mentorship, and education.
