Billy Keller Autographs
Billy Keller is a retired American basketball player who served as a guard in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for several years. Born on October 14, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Keller began his basketball career in high school before playing college basketball at Purdue University. Keller played for Purdue University from 1966 to 1969 and led his team to the NCAA Final Four in 1969. He was also named the Most Valuable Player of the Big Ten Conference in 1969.
After college, Keller was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the seventh round of the 1969 ABA/NBA Draft. He played four seasons with the Indiana Pacers and two seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. Throughout his professional career, Keller was known for his excellent three-point shooting abilities and was often a key player in his team's offense. In 1973, during an ABA Finals game against the Kentucky Colonels, Keller made a game-winning 22-foot jump shot to help the Pacers win their first ABA championship.
Keller retired from professional basketball in 1976, and he has since become a successful businessman in his hometown of Indianapolis. Although he retired over four decades ago, Keller remains a beloved figure in Indiana basketball history. In recognition of his contributions to basketball, Keller was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Purdue Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013. In addition to his storied basketball career, Keller is also remembered for his philanthropic work and the positive impact he has made in his community.
